Ghidoni Armando
Italian by origin, though French by adoption, Armando Ghidoni brings together in his music the spirit of Italy and that of France.
The melodies of this eclectic composer exemplify the sensitivity of the bel canto tradition, while his harmonic approach evokes both French impressionism and jazz rhythms, giving his works a unique and highly personal character. Honorary President of the Olivier Messiaen Music School in Nantes (France), Armando Ghidoni is intensely active as a composer and his catalogue includes many instrumental scores that are regulary imposed in leading national and international competitions: chamber music, sacred music and an opera that has been staged throughout the world. A hall in the Conservatory School of Music of Lencloître (France) today bears his name.
